Company Overview
At the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, we build community, care for the welfare of Jews everywhere and maximize participation in Jewish life. We accomplish this by planning, developing and allocating financial aid and human resources in partnership with Jewish institutions, locally and overseas.

How we accomplish our mission
The Minneapolis Jewish Federation has sought to connect people and build community by meeting the needs of Jews in Minneapolis and around the world. With a focus on Financial Resource Development, Overseas, Community Development and Leadership Engagement and Development, the Federation is able to serve as a central resource where people come together to repair the world.

  • Financial Resource Development: We raise and secure dollars that touch the lives of 13 million Jews in 66 countries.
  • Overseas: We continue to strengthen our bonds with Israel and Jewish communities around the world.
  • Community Development: We spearhead research and strategic planning to identify and determine how to best meet community needs.
  • Leadership Engagement and Development: We strengthen the Federation’s volunteer structure to provide meaningful opportunities for more than a thousand community members each year to more fully engage in Jewish life.

Only through the collaboration of each of these areas are we able to raise millions of dollars, engage thousands in Jewish life, build leaders for tomorrow and, ultimately, secure the future of the Jewish community.
