BGD Imports, Inc., was incorporated in Minnesota in 1980 and began as a direct importer, distributor and wholesaler of quality rattan and wicker furniture, baskets and accessories, directly selling to designers, retail stores and builders. The company has always prided itself on customer satisfaction and product quality, making it our first priority. The early years gave us the opportunity to provide our local customers the convenience of a local rattan and wicker supplier and competitive prices for national distribution.

In 1995 we expanded our line into the restaurant booth seating, tables and chairs under the name Midwest Restaurant Seating. Two years later, we acquired a carpet company that has been doing business as Como Carpet, Inc. The last two years our business has seen an increase in the manufacture of Mall Seatings, at our local plant for application around the nation.

With all the changes that have occurred through the years, we have decided to change our name to BGD COMPANIES, INC. The name change is reflective of the expanded services and product lines that has evolved with the times, to ensure that we are meeting our customer’s demands and needs. The name has changed, but our commitment to providing our customers with innovative services and quality products will remain the same, if not stronger. While our new name and logo symbolize the changes we’ve made through the years, it also reinforces a promise to provide our customers with the product quality that has been a priority to BGD.
